A Political War

It seems that both Republican and Democratic parties are all about protecting their turf, their respective parties.  The never ending battles between the virulent flame throwers, such as Nevada Senator Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi et al, never stops.  The same can be said for some Republicans as well.  I respect Ted Cruz.  I like Ted Cruz.  But, when he engages in this gamesmanship with Democrats, he is lowering himself down to their level.  Harry Reid is comfortable fighting these dirty little battles such as calling all the people complaining about Obamacare a bunch of liars.  Reid knows he can get away with saying such things because he is old and he is a Democrat.  The news media has his back.

Democratic Party Wanted Government Shutdown

How long has it been (before this year) since the Senate passed a budget?  I'll tell you.  It has been four years.  Four long years, until this year, the Democratic controlled Senate had not passed a budget for the United States of America.  Yet, if you listen to the news media and the Democratic lapdogs, you would think it is entirely the fault of the Republican Party.  It's true that Republicans are tying a provision to defund Obamacare.  This insurance baby of the Democratic Party is hugely unpopular among the majority of the American people.  None of that matters to the Democrats.  It's our way or nothing at all.  Obamacare is already causing premiums to rise.

Harry Reid - Out of Control

I've made several posts about the Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, on The Right Commentary.  I've written about his insanities, his blunt, uncouth statements and his flat out lies.  He never ceases to amaze me.  If Clint Eastwood was Dirty Harry, Senator Reid is "Sleazy Harry."  Sleazy Harry stated, "The word's out that he hasn't paid any taxes for 10 years," Reid said of Romney on the Senate floor Thursday. "Let him prove that he has paid taxes, because he hasn't."  Of course, Reid could not or would not reveal his sources on this statement.  He wouldn't because that would reveal he is a damn liar, which is what everyone in D.C. knows.  Of course, Sleazy Harry's equally dumb sister, Nancy Pelosi, backed up Reid's assertions, again, without an iota of proof.  Senator Reid sullied the position he supposedly stands for by making such a blatant lie while giving a speech on the floor of the Senate.  It was a disgraceful action.  Equally disgraceful are the Democrats who are not condemning Reid for making another provocative statement without any proof.  It is disgusting.  But, this is the day of the Obama Democrats.  The ends justifies the means.  Nothing is out of bounds in meeting their goals of their Socialist agenda.

This statement by Reid is for a specific reason; to keep Romney on the defensive and focus off the moribund economy.  Democrats would love to get their hands on Romney's tax returns to use against him in the campaign.  Romney isn't that much of a fool, I hope.  But, what bothers me most is that Romney is falling right into their trap.  The best thing to do is let his subordinates come out swinging.  President Obama and his Socialist cabal will leave no stone unturned in their attempt to continue the USA on it's current leftward trend.  Lies and damn lies are the order of the day in the Democratic Party.  But, you know what is really bad news for the Democrats?  The American people don't give a damn about Romney's tax returns.  The American people are focused on a pathetic "recovering economy" and unemployment above 8% for a record 41 months in a row.  Reid, Pelosi and Obama can continue their crusade for Romney's tax returns until the cows come home.  That's all they have to fight with today.  Obama can't go on his record.  So, making up lies, as Sleazy Harry did, is the only thing they have left to fight with against the Republicans.

Angry White Men

Crazy Harry Reid.  Just when you think he has said his most stupid remark that cannot be equaled, he proves us wrong...again.  Monday, in a speech before the Senate, the Nevada Senator stated that, "...17 angry white men is attempting to buy the presidential election for Mitt Romney."  Hypocrisy knows no bounds for Democrats such as Harry Reid.  How many angry white men bought the election for Barack Obama in 2008?  There were many "white men" on the, now, villainous Wall St. who supported then Senator Obama.   Of course, this is just another shot across the bow in the never ending class warfare battles Democrats like to invoke from time to time.  Just as the fictitious "war on women," this is another straw man trotted out for consumption.  Harry Reid has never been one to shy away from provocative statements. You would think this wouldn't be news any longer given Reid's history of making dumbass statements.  Imagine the outcry if a Republican senator had stated that "17 angry black men" are trying to win the election for President Obama.   The New York Times, Boston Globe and Washington Post, along with all the liberal electronic media, would be falling all over themselves with angry and fury.  Such is the double standard that conservatives must endure.

The Democrats can't match the Republicans in campaign fundraising.  So, what to do?  Go to the old Democratic strategy of demonizing the opponent.  Things are so bad for Democrats, they have opted to force Republicans to reveal names of their donors in an attempt to intimidate them.  The Campaign Donor Disclosure bill was one such attempt.  The attempt to pass the bill failed.  This was a Democratic response to the U.S. Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision in 2010 that removed limits on independent spending by corporations and labor unions. The race between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney is tight.  It is much tighter than Democrats had anticipated.  So, like pouting children, they are striking out in ridiculous fashion.  Harry Reid's racist ramblings is just the latest attempt.

"Get The Hell Out Of The USA!!!"

Florida U.S. House Representative Allen West had some choice words for the Democratic Socialist Party during the Lincoln Day Dinner Sunday.  Rep. West stated, “We need to let President Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and my dear friend the chairman of the Democratic National Committee [Debbie Wasserman Schultz], let them know Florida ain’t on the table.  Take your message of economic dependency, take your message of enslaving the entrepreneurial will and spirit of the American people somewhere else,” West continued. “You can take it to Europe, you can take it to the bottom of the sea, you can take it to the North Pole, but get the hell out of the United States of America.”  That is about as provocative a statement as one can make.  He is correct that Democratic leaders mentioned are trying to stifle the entrepreneurial spirit that gave us such people as the late Steven Jobs, Bill Gates, and on and on.  People who were able to better their lot in life.  The Democratic Socialists hate this sort of independent thinking.  Rep. West was simply saying what most of us (those of us that are not hardcore Socialists) think about Obama, Harry Reid and the rest of the gang at the Democratic Party.  President Obama and the Democrats have tried to turn a Capitalist society into one of the failed Socialist experiment similar to the old Soviet Union.  He has not been able to do the job completely in four years.  He is correct he needs "...another four years to complete the job."  As far as Rep. West goes, his bombastic statements may be due to a tough reelection bid he has himself.  Regardless, the double standard between conservative and liberal African-Americans is being amply presented in the media now.

Rep. West, of course, is being condemned by the Left-wing media and Democrats who hate to hear the truth about themselves.   Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Rep. Allen West despise each other.  There is no denying that.  Schultz aka "The Angry Perm" has been following Republicans at each caucus and primary trying to foment trouble.  She is going after the wrong man in Rep. West.  He won't stand idly by and watch her try to knock Republicans off balance with media appearances in Iowa, New Hampshire, etc.  It appears the Democratic leadership is more worried about President Obama's reelection chances than they are letting on with bizarre tactics as displayed by Schultz.  However, what I find odd is how a black conservative can say something controversial and the media explodes.  But, let a black Left-wing radical, like Al Sharpton (he's no Reverend, never has been) say at Kean College in 1994, "“White folks was [sic] in caves while we was building empires…. We taught philosophy and astrology and mathematics before Socrates and them Greek homos ever got around to it," and little is said about it in the news media.

My main point is that what is good for the goose is good for the gander.   If Al Sharpton can make fiery racist statements, then one should have no problem with Rep. West stating his provocative opinion on the Democratic leadership. Rep. West is backing off somewhat those statements of this past Sunday, I don't understand why he should.  I daresay, far worse has been said about Republicans from their Democratic counterparts. Just ask George W. Bush.

Five Political Christmas Gifts

These are my Five Political Christmas gifts to America and, to a lesser extent, the world.  These are all for fun.  But, I sincerely hope they do come true eventually.

#5.  A viable third party in the U.S. political party system.  America is in dire need of a third political party.  The Republican and Democratic parties are consumed with getting reelected.  The American people they are suppose to represent are secondary to them.  Perhaps the Tea Party will eventually break away from the Republican Party after the 2012 elections.
#4.  Crack down on activist federal judges.  Instead of making rulings according to the U.S. Constitution, we see Appellate judges ruling from their own prejudices, rather than rule of law.  An example is a federal judge in Atlanta who stated the Alabama Immigration Enforcement Law would force illegal immigrants to flee the state.  How insane is that statement?
#3.  Political Partisanship comes to an end.  This is more in line with #5 above.  No, I don't see it ever happening in my lifetime with the Republican and Democratic parties as estranged as they are right now.  But, it would be nice if both parties would occasionally work together.
#2.  The resignation or retirement of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.  These two left-wing radicals are greatly responsible for the bitter political infighting between both parties in Washington D.C. today.  Both have their own Socialist agenda that they are trying to perpetrate upon a traditionally Democratic America.  Both are relentless Socialists who show no sign of backing down from their dream of a United Socialist States of America.
#1.  The defeat of President Barack Obama in 2012.  Obama was the president who was suppose to bring us together.  Due to his own partisanship, he has sown more animosity between the Right and Left than any other President in recent memory.  His single-minded approach to Obamacare, at the expense of working on jobs for Americans, is costing us dearly right now.  President Obama is a Socialist in the same mode as Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.  His defeat in November of 2012 would be the greatest early 2012 Christmas gift I could ever imagine.

Those are my political Christmas gifts to America.  Will any be realized?  I can only pray that #1 happens.  It would save this nation from further turmoil and acrimony.  Merry Christmas!
