The True Chris Christie

It seems my grandpa was absolutely correct.  He said, more than once, "Your sins will find you out."  Despite the questionable grammar, it all makes sense to me now.  You can hide your sinful nature.  But, you can't hide it indefinitely.  I believe this adequately describes the quandary in which New Jersey Governor, Chris Christie, finds himself.  One of Governor Christie's top aides ordered  the revenge-closings of traffic lanes at the George Washington Bridge.  The bridge closing in Fort Lee, New Jersey, last fall was an act of political retribution against the city's Democratic mayor who refused to support Christie's reelection as New Jersey governor.  In addition to this investigation of political retribution, there are now accusations that Chris Christie withheld Hurricane Sandy funds because Hoboken Democratic mayor wouldn't sign off on a politically connected real estate venture.  Chris Christie and his administration are hotly denying this accusation.

Paul Ryan Possible Presidential Run 2016

As if the Republican field for the Republican Presidential run isn't already crowded, Congressman Paul Ryan from Wisconsin is hinting at a possible run in 2016.  The former 2012 Republican VP candidate, told the Des Moines Register in a telephone interview on Monday that “I’m going to give a hard look at it.” in regard to the 2016 Presidential campaign.

Chris Christie: A Man Without A Party

Chris Christie, alleged Republican Governor of New Jersey, does his best to prove he is not a Republican, seemingly, each week.  He has amply demonstrated he is not a conservative.  In fact, I can't say with any authority he is even the much despised "establishment Republican" that conservatives love to berate.  Christie openly campaigned for taxpayer money for Hurricane Sandy.  Now, you ask, who could be against that?  No one, not me, not anyone.  I know what it's like to experience the devastation of a hurricane.

Chris Christie to Run in 2012?

News reports for the past week are that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie may run for President in 2012.  He has gone back and forth on this issue since January of this year.  At one time he actually stated he was not ready to be President of the United States.  I tend to agree with him on that.  Of course, a community organizer isn't really qualified to be President either.  Maybe that is the reason we are in the mess we're in right now.  Regardless, it would add another participant to the race for the Republican Nomination.  If I am correct, that makes ten people running for the nomination.  That is simply too many.  At some point, the debates will have to cut off the second and third tier candidates like Rick Santorum who had a good night at the debate in Orlando last week.  Of course, we still don't know if the favorite punching bag of the Left, Sarah Palin, will run or not.  I honestly hope and pray neither candidate run.
