The U.S. Supreme Court Strikes Back!

As most should know, President Obama overstepped his authority when he appointed members to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) when he assumed Congress was in recess.  But, Congress was only out of order for three days.  Take advantage of the situation, in the same manner a child would the cookie jar when mommy isn't home, he made his own appointments.  In a stunning 9-0 ruling, the SCOTUS slapped the petulant child's hand.  As such, they said the President of the United States violated the constitution.

In a 5-4 ruling this past Monday, the SCOTUS ruled on behalf of Hobby Lobby insofar as not providing contraceptives for employees as demanded by Obamacare.  This one really hurt the Obamacare zombies.  Now, many companies will attempt to chip away at Obamacare.  Eventually, this draconian overreach of the federal government will come to a grinding halt.  The SCOTUS has stated President Obama and his lovechild, Obamacare, are a gross overreach of federal power.  Of course, lefties everywhere are condemning the SCOTUS and saying the 5-4 ruling on Monday against Obamacare is "unconstitutional" and another example of the "war on women."   It's odd, but these same lefties were rejoicing when in a 5-4 decision Obamacare was declared constitutional on the grounds that it is a "tax" (which Obama still hotly denies).  It is "constitutional" for the federal government to force private citizens to buy a product from the government.  They see nothing wrong with that at all.  Hypocrisy, thy name is Liberalism.

Despite the setbacks last week and this week at the hands of the SCOTUS, Obama has declared he will still go it alone and make law and policy.  President Obama, an alleged former constitutional law professor, doesn't seem to understand that the constitutional does not make any distinction as to whether a law is like or not liked.  Obama doesn't like the restrictions the U.S. Constitution makes on him.  According to the constitution, his duty is to carry out and see that laws are enforced.  Obama seems to think the constitution delegates him power to make law, something Congress has done for over 200 years!  It is almost as if the president is begging the House to impeach him.  He may get his wish.  I say may because there is a coward as Speaker of the House.  Any other president would be impeached and convicted by now.  President Obama simply uses the constitution whenever it suits his purposes.  Otherwise, he has no use for it.  The same can be said of virtually all Democrats now.  The Democrats do not care about rule of law.  They care about the ends justifying the means.  If that means casting the U.S. Constitution to the dustbin of history, to get what they want, so be it.  These are perilous times in which we live.  The United States of America has enemies beyond our borders and inside our borders.  Who would have thought this country's biggest threat lies within the Oval Office.
