John Boehner - Biting The Hand That Feeds Him

It appears that John Boehner has finally flashed his true colors for all to see after years of maintaining a careful facade of being a conservative. He even stated he "...is as conservative as they come around here."  Last Thursday (1212/2013), the Speaker of the House lashed out at conservative groups such as Club for Growth, Heritage Action and various Tea Party groups.  Apparently, what enraged Rep. Boehner was an effort to sabotage the bipartisan budget deal crafted by House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Senate Budget Committee Chairman Patty Murray (D-Wash.).

The New Enemies List

I'm sure Presidents have had worse seven-day stretches than President Obama has had over the past week.  Richard Nixon had scandals breaking out everywhere during the latter days of his administration.  Even President Reagan had tough times during Iran-Contra.  But, I can't remember a president having so many scandals break out as quickly as Obama.  Last Wednesday, we saw the hearings on Benghazi take place.  At the very least, it made the Obama Administration appear incompetent and indifferent.  At worst, they appear criminally negligent.  No one could explain why U.S. troops were not sent in to rescue those embassy personnel during the eight hour attack.  Then, just to sweeten the weekend, word got out the IRS was targeting conservative groups such as the Tea Party. The Tea Party groups had long complained about being targeted by the IRS.  But, that complaint fell on deaf ears.  Even Jewish Groups were targeted.  An anchor reporter for a TV network was targeted after a tough interview with President Obama.  This week, we discovered that the Department of Justice tracked 20 phone lines and two months of phone records from the Associated Press.  Take any one of these scandals and it is an abomination by itself.  The totality of all three makes it appear we have a government engaging in Totalitarianism.

This is coming from the "most transparent administration in history," mind you.  Richard Nixon was paranoid.  He thought all his enemies were out to get him.  It led to his downfall as President of the United States.   President Obama, since his first inauguration, has shown little interest in dialogue with his conservative opponents.  The Obamacare debate when he had a televised discussion with Republicans in January of 2010 gave you an idea of how aloof this president truly is as a person.  Obama is as insecure and paranoid as Nixon was during his time as President.  Both men had an affinity to use government agencies to go after their enemies.  Does anyone really believe the IRS just suddenly, on their own, decide to go after conservative political groups?  Doesn't it make sense someone or some group at a much higher level in the Obama administration made the call?  It's apparent, at least to me, that President Obama has an enemies list just as President Nixon had at one time.  Obama has always been thin-skinned, unable to accept criticism very well.  This very well could be his undoing.  Do I think Obama will resign?  He would never do that.  President Obama is a self-serving narcissist.  He doesn't care about anyone but himself.  I doubt he will be impeached because the Speaker of the House doesn't have the balls to take on this kind of proceeding.  But, as these scandals continue to unfold, I do think it could seriously hurt Obama.  His second term agenda is in deep trouble now.

Jeb Bush RINO

We have not heard much from the irrelevant Jeb Bush lately.  Whenever he feels he is not part of the conversation nationally, he has to stir the masses.  This is especially true toward those on the Right.  Jeb stated Monday that the "...GOP is shifting beyond Reagan and the elder George Bush."   Let's see...where have I heard that before?  Oh, now I remember.  It was from the DEMOCRATS who like to use that famous phrase.  This is particularly true of one Barack Obama.  Jeb Bush went on to say, "...having an orthodoxy that doesn’t allow for disagreement"  There is simply no other way to state it; that is a bald-face lie.  The mere fact that a moderate (Mitt Romney) is the Republican nominee flies into the face of such an assertion by the former governor of Florida.  Mitt Romney did have a tough time getting the nomination from more conservative nominees.  But, that is what the nomination process is all about.  The best man for the nomination usually wins.  That certainly wasn't the case in 2008 when a weak John McCain won the nomination.  Which brings me back to my point.  Moderates do have a voice in the Republican Party.  In my opinion, they have too much of a voice. But, to say the Republican Party would not accommodate Ronald Reagan is disingenuous.

Ronald Reagan would have embraced the fiscal conservatism of the Tea Party, which is where Jeb Bush was directing his criticism.  Ronald Reagan was all about making government smaller and less taxation.  Ronald Reagan was all about more freedoms for people and less regulations for businesses.  To say Ronald Reagan would not be welcomed into the Republican Party of today is ridiculous.  This is something the Democrats have tried to gain traction with this year.  They do so in an attempt to gain traction with their claim that the Republican Party is made up of extremists.  To hear this from a so-called Republican voice in Jeb Bush only reinforces his credentials as a RINO (Republican In Name Only).  What Jeb Bush should be doing is questioning if John F. Kennedy would be welcomed in the Democratic Party of today that is ruled with an iron fist by Progresssives.  If Obama strays from the Left to the Center, hell breaks loose with threats from Unions to the far Left Progressives of the party.  Little is said how Blue Dog Democrats (moderate Democrats) have all but become extinct.  I'm not sure they even have enough left to caucus. There is a definite double standard here from the MSM and, yes, from "Republicans" like Jeb Bush.

Finally, it would be much easier to prove that moderates such as Jeb Bush have left the principles of the Republican Party  of small government, less taxation and cuts in spending.  George W. Bush was a case in point.  He was wildly spending tax dollars in his final term.  We do not need more of the Bush family in the White House.  The current occupant is destroying our children's future quite well without help from Republicans.

Bob Beckel Strikes Again

Monday night on Sean Hannity, Bob Beckel proved once and for all what a loud mouthed, profane, vulgar lout he is..  Ok, some will say he didn't know he was on air.  That is all beside the point.  He had no right to verbally attack the Tea Party activist Jennifer Stefano.  She simply stated that "Head Start" spending was completely out of control and ineffective.  This lady had a right to her opinion.  But, what she did not deserve was Bob Beckel crudely yelling, "You don't know what the fuck you are talking about!!!"  That is vintage Beckel.  He is presented with facts and he replies with vulgarity.  But, he is a Leftist.  That is the way they roll.  Beckel at first refused to apologize because he did not think he was on air.  He finally realized he yelled the vulgarity on air and then, like any liberal skirting personal accountability, blamed Sean Hannity!  So typical of the liberal mindset.  It is always somebody else at fault, not us.  You know, kind of like Obama blaming all the ills and mistakes of his administration on George W. Bush.

At the end of the hit Fox News show Tuesday afternoon, "The Five," Bob Beckel had a chance to be a man, to apologize for the crudeness of character he displayed on Monday night.  But, no, he did not have the guts to do that.  Instead he came up with comic relief by placing money in a swear jar.  Why is Bob Beckel given such leeway?  I don't get it.  It is like there are rules for everyone else and then rules for...oh wait.  That is the way of the liberal, isn't it?  Rules don't apply to them, just to everyone else.  What little respect I had for Fox News is gone over this.  They should have fired Beckel's ass.  They ran off Glenn Beck.  But, they keep a vulgar fat man like Bob Beckel.  Someone needs to explain that to me.  I'm done with Fox.

Editor's Note:  This will be my last rant for about two weeks.  I will be taking some time off from this blog and another one I write.  I don't want to get burned out like I did about two years ago.

Occupy Lefties - Showing Their True Colors

I suppose it was inevitable. Violence is erupting in the "Occupy Whatever" movement across the USA.  Example #1:  Oakland, CA where protesters have had a running battle with police.  The Port of Oakland has been shutdown as a result of the "Occupy" forces.  Schools, government buildings are shutdown.  Another example; Seattle, WA where bottle throwing Occupy thugs battled with police yesterday in front of the Sheraton Hotel.  Police made several arrests as the Occupy thugs fought with police.  Rapes have occurred in Detroit and Zuccotti Park in New York City.  The news media, as expected, has been very slow in reporting this, just as they have in the violence of Occupy Whatever forces.

Jimmy Hoffa Threatens Again

Well, the title is a bit misleading, I suppose.  Jimmy Hoffa Jr. appears to be taking over from where his daddy left off.  Hoffa Jr.  made vulgar, threatening remarks toward Republicans and Tea Partiers while waiting on President Obama to come on stage in Detroit, Michigan.  Hoffa called Republicans and the Tea Party  "sons of bitches" and called for them to be "taken out."
